Jimmy Kimmel To Host 89th Academy Awards
The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, will honor the best films of 2016. This event will take place on Sunday, 26 February 2017 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles at 5:30 PM PST (8:30 PM EST). The event aired in the United States by ABC Television Network will be produced by Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd. Oscars 2017 will be the fist time produced by Luca and Todd. Jimmy Kimmel will host the 89th Oscars (Academy Awards) for the first time. Before this event, he has hosted the Emmys and the American Music Awards several times, but this will be the first time presenting the most high-profile awards event. 2016 Academy Award host by Chris Rock who is a comedian, actor, writer, director, and producer.

James Christian Kimmel was born on November 13, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York. He was commonly known as Jimmy Kimmel who is an American television host, producer, writer-comedian, and Voice actor. Kimmel began working in the radio industry, hosting a Sunday night interview on UNLV’s college station in 1997. After this, he began his television career as the comedic counterpart to Ben Stein on the game show Win Ben Stein’s Money. Two years later, he established a production house named as Jackhole Industries. Under the ABC television network, he gives several hit shows.
In January 2003, he produced his own late-night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, on ABC Television Network and also host this show. Kimmel hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2012 and 2016 and most recently he is fixed to host the Oscars in February 2017.
Kimmel married his college friend Gina Maddy in 1988 and divorced in 2002. They have two children, son Kevin and daughter Katherine. Kimmel started dating Molly McNearny who is a co-head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kimmel and McNearney become engaged in August 2012 and married in July 2013. They had a child Jane.
